Nagarkurnool: With two rival groups in Telangana Rashtra Samithi of Kollapur constituency entering into a bitter fight on Friday, the internal rift between the two groups led by former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy has come to the fore.

In fact, after Jupally lost the election to Congress candidate Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy (who defected to TRS) during last Assembly elections, it is said that he had vehemently opposed Reddy into TRS. However, party president K Chandrashekar Rao, ignored Jupally's concerns, had invited Reddy into the pink party. From then onwards, Jupally and his associates are trying to prove their upper hand in the Kollapur constituency.

On the other hand, after joining the TRS, Reddy also wanted to prove his clout and has been doing his best to attract TRS chief KCR's attention and has been doing all that he could and ensuring he was always available to the people of his constituency.

Recently, when KCR visited Kollapur to inspect the irrigation projects in Kollapur, Harshavardhan Reddy had been in the forefront to organise the programmes and arrangements for CM's programme. This kind of prominence being given to Reddy has been not going down well with the Jupally and his aides.

While all this was going on, the supporters of Jupally and Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy in the villages have come to loggerheads many a times. However, on Friday, the internal fighting between the two rival groups had come out in the open when the former ZPTC Krishna Prasad, belonging to Jupally group from Laxmipally village of Chinnambavi mandal, attacked a farmer Boya Venkata Swamy, belonging to Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy group over sharing of canal water in the village. The severely injured farmer at the hands of former ZPTC had lodged a complaint with the Chinnambavi police. However, the police had not taken his complaint. Aggrieved over this, the farmer approached the MLA for justice.

When the MLA tried to press the Chinnabavi Sub-Inspector Suresh for taking the complaint, the SI took a while and informed the matter to Circle Inspector. The MLA soon expressed his dissent over the attitude of police dealing with various cases in the police station. The MLA along with local MPP sat in front of the police station and demanded that SP should come to take note of the situation in the police station. Later, the SI, after receiving instructions from the Circle Inspector, booked a case and pacified the MLA. "It feels that the police are acting at the behest of some political leaders. Our demand is that police must work impartial and must register complainants and investigate them. But here in Chinnambavi, we feel the police are taking sides," said the MLA
