Nalgonda: Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram and CPI State leader Dr Sudhakar demanded the State government to put its callous aside and resolve the ongoing strike by accepting the genuine demands of RTC workers.

On Friday, the duo leaders addressing the media in Nalgonda, fired salvos at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his devil-may-care attitude despite the strike entering 14th day and High Court giving directions.

They raised objections over suppressing the strike of RTC workers through provocative means. They supported the main demand of RTC merger with the State government.

Alleging that the government was making all efforts to privatise the corporation, the Left leaders said that the announcement of self-dismissal of 48,000 RTC workers reflects the CM's dictator attitude.

They advised the RTC workers not to commit suicides in frustration and informed that by deriving inspiration from Telangana agitation, they must fight collectively with confidence to meet the demands.

The leaders informed that Left parties were supporting RTC workers state bandh on October 19 and urged all people's organisations and all sections of the people of the society to extend their cooperation to the State bandh.
