Nalgonda: People urged to plant more for reducing pollution

Nakrekal (Nalgonda): Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah urged the people to plant saplings in vacant spaces at their residences, schools and offices and protect them still they survive.

On Thursday, he took part in Haritha Haram programme held at Narsimhulagudem village of Nakrekal mandal in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, he called upon people to plant saplings to protect the environment.He suggested the officials and the local public representatives to achieve the set targets in respective villages.

"It is the duty of every citizen to plant as many as saplings as possible to balance the environment and to reduce the increasing pollution," he underlined.Local public representatives and villagers participated in the programme.

Meanwhile, Suryapet district Joint Collector Sanjeeva Reddy visited the famous Lord Shiva temple located at Mellacheruvu mandal headquarters and took part in the Haritha Haram programme held on temple premises.

Speaking on the occasion, he advised people to plant saplings to protect the environment. "By planting enough trees we can ensure good rains besides manageable temperatures. Trees not only reduce pollution but also play a key role in maintaining ecological balance," he underlined.
