Nirmal: Forest and Environment Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy told officials to work with responsibility without causing troubles to the people. He was addressing a review meeting with municipal officials at the Collector Conference Hall in Nirmal on Wednesday.
The Minister instructed the municipal officials to carry out time-to-time sanitation works so that people do not fall sick. He told them to collect dry and wet garbage from households. He asked officials to ensure that there is no shortage of water in the city. He instructed the municipal Engineer to supply drinking water uninterruptedly to household tap connection every morning.
He also told to clean water tanks once in every fortnight. Soon with public representatives, he will be made surprise visits in the town. He wanted to speed up mission bhageratha works to avoid water shortage in summer. He ordered municipal town planning officers to stop construction works that have no permission.
He told them to switch off the street lights before 6 clocks in the morning, do not waste electricity and everyone should feel responsible to save power. He also told officers he would soon take up the action plan in municipal wards like 30-day special plans in Gram Panchayats.
The government spent crores of rupees on Nirmal town and developed with highways, fountains, central lighting, CC roads, drainage, road dividers under beautification works, he remembered.
