Be cautious till vaccine arrives says Nizamabad ZP Chairman Dadannagari Vittal Rao

Nizamabad: ZP Chairman Dadannagari Vittal Rao and District Collector C Narayana Reddy called on the district people to be vigilant and reduce mass programmes until coronavirus vaccine arrives. Third general meeting of Nizamabad Zilla Praja Parishad was held on Wednesday at ZP conference hall here, which was chaired by ZP Chairman D Vittal Rao.

Speaking at the meeting, the ZP chief said they couldn't conduct a meeting due to the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of Covid-19 and due to the lockdown norms since Nizamabad district has the second highest number of cases in the State. But still, he said that the district had completed grain procurement within the scheduled time. The ZP chief thanked the Collector and the district administration for their achievement and also thanked the public for their support.

Collector C Narayana Reddy warned the public that there is risk due to lockdown relaxation as people from Maharashtra are coming to the district. But, he suggested the people to maintain physical distance in order to protect themselves from infecting with corona. He urged everyone to be more vigilant as the chances of getting vaccine are low until November or December this year. He advised the people to wear mask, to use sanitisers and to maintain physical distance.

The Collector informed that more than 6,500 people came to our State from other regions in the country. Of these, 2,700 are from Maharashtra, where corona is predominant. He asked the authorities and public representatives to take care while implementing welfare programmes. Special care should be taken in case of pregnant women, especially those suffering from other diseases and children and elderly, he added.

MLC VG Goud, Akula Lalitha, Additional Collector BS Lata, DCCB Chairman Bhaskar Reddy, DCMS Chairman Mohan Reddy, ZPTC, MPPs and district officials were present at the meeting.
