Nizamabad: District Collector C Narayana Reddy directed the officials concerned to complete 511 Palle Prakruthi vanalu sanctioned to Nizamabad district within a week in accordance with the guidelines issued by the government.
During a cell phone conference with Zilla Parishad CEO, DRDO, DPO, APOs, MPDOs and MPOs here on Wednesday, the Collector said it already took a long time to set them up. He said that he has been waiting for the official to take the initiative and complete the goal, but no active step from their side.
Narayana Reddy told the officials to level the land first, to prepare lay out and plant saplings in three rows on the outer circle. The walkway in the inner circle of Palle Prakruthi vanalu should be set up with gravel and the centre part should be developed as a thick forest, he explained.
The Collector ordered that 4,000 saplings per acre should be planted. The plants planted on the outer row should be of 12 feet hight and four years old. He observed that it may cost from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 for the gram panchayats to purchase the saplings.
Another Rs 30,000 would be spent on fencing the arch, gate, board and front side of the park. The rest of the fencing is to be developed as green fencing. He also told them to arrange benches in the park with the help of donors.
