Nizamabad: Couple electrocuted

Nizamabad: A couple died due to electrocution in Dichpally mandal on Tuesday.

According to police, Aravath Shankar and his wife Maroni, natives of Boppaspalli of Nasrullabad mandal, Kamareddy district, have been working in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Mittapalli village for one month.

Shankar, who was taking bath on Tuesday morning beside their shed, died on the spot as current passed through the fencing beside the shed.

His wife Maroni also died while trying to save Shankar.

Dichpally CI Venkateshwar said the bodies were shifted to Nizamabad Government Hospital. A case was registered and investigation is on.
