Nizamabad, Kamareddy get moderate rainfall

Nizamabad: Light rains have been recorded in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts for the past two days, making the atmosphere cool. Since the last two days, i.e., Sunday and Monday, were holidays due to Bonalu festival, people remained indoors.

According to a report released by Telangana State Development Planning Society here on Monday, 44.5 mm of rain was recorded in Patharajampet in Kamareddy district. 44 mm in Gandhari, 42.3 mm in Machareddy, 41.3 mm in Lachchapet, 33.8 mm in Ramareddy, 33.8 mm in Tadvai, 33.8 mm in Sadashivpet, 30.8 mm in Bibipet, 30.8 mm in Domakonda and 30.5 mm rain was recorded in Sarwarpur. Lake Pandu Bodhan was filled with rain water for the last two days

TSDPS Assistant Executive Officer B Venumadhav said Maggidi village, Armoor mandal, Nizamabad district, had received the highest rainfall of 54.5 mm. Meanwhile, 39.8 mm rainfall recorded in Veilpur, 38.3 mm in Khammerpalli and Konasamudram, 37.5 mm in Nandipeta Tandur, 36.7 mm in Macherla (Armoor mandal), 35 mm in Bingal and Chandur, 33.8 mm in Sirikonda Thummanapalli and 33.8 mm in Maklur, he said.

Agriculture Officer Mekala Govind said that these rains are useful for crops in the district.

Meanwhile, another depression will be formed in Bay of Bengal in the end of July month. Its impact is expected to last for a few more days. Depression in the northwest Bay of Bengal crossed West Bengal and Jharkhand coast on Sunday morning.

On the other hand, the surface rotation, which occurred here, is tilted to the southwest at an elevation of 7.6 km above sea level. As a result of this, by July 31, there will be low pressure. Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts are likely to receive mild to moderate rains and heavy rains on Tuesday. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there will be light rains or showers over the next three days.
