Hyderabad: Stating that there was not even a single case of coronavirus has come from Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday said that government would not hesitate to spend Rs 1,000 crore to fight against corona.

The chief minister said this during a discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor's Address in the Assembly. The chief minister said that not even a single corona case has come from Telangana and the one case which was positive was because of one individual who came from Dubai.

The individual is recovering from the virus. "Only one person is in the hospital with corona and he is not dying. He is recovering.

Corona will never come to Telangana even if we greet it. We will not allow it to come and if needed, we will not hesitate to spend Rs 1,000 crore to fight," said Chandrashekar Rao.

There is no need of masks as the virus does not survive in the hot conditions. "One scientist has talked to me over phone. He said that the virus will not live if the temperature is 22 degrees and it is already 30 degrees in Telangana now.

There is no issue. Some newspapers have reported that there is one positive case in Wyra but that is not true," said Chandrashekar Rao adding that there was no need to panic and only a paracetamol tablet is enough.

Referring to the comments of Congress member D Anasuya, the chief minister said that there was no need for masks because it can be tackled without mask.

"Has anyone in the Assembly put up a mask on their faces? In a country of 125 crore only 31 persons were tested positive for corona," said the chief minister.
