Notorious interstate burglar nabbed: Nalgonda police
Police recover 20 tolas gold, worth Rs 8 lakh, besides a bike and two cell phones from his possession
Nalgonda: The Nalgonda police arrested an interstate offender who have been committing burglaries in various places very often. The arrested person was identified as Dasari Vijay alias Prem alias Charan alias Nani of Ponnaram village of Mandamarri mandal of Mancherial district and an electrician by profession.
Police arrested him during a vehicle check at Pangal centre in Nalgonda town on Wednesday and recovered 20 tolas gold, worth Rs 8 lakh besides a bike and two cell phones from his possession.
Producing the arrested before the media during a press meet held at Two Town Police Station, Deputy Superintendent of Police Venkateshwarlu informed that offender Dasari Vijay was habituated to bad habits and started committing burglaries to fulfill his needs and desires.
He is wanted burglar in two Telugu-speaking States and seven cases filed against him in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the DSP informed. He started burglaries soon after released from jail on February 28, and carried out burglaries in Nalgonda and Miryalaguda areas, the DSP added.
Police officials Balaswamy, Narsimhulu, Mohan Reddy, Antony, Murali and Chandrashekar attended the press meet.
