Vikarabad: District authorities have set up a special ward with 30 beds to provide treatment to those who have been diagnosed with Coronavirus as a precautionary measure at Mahavir Medical College. An isolation centre with 10 beds was set up at the district hospital in Tandur. The Corona Virus Isolation Center, which has been set up in the Ananthagiri Haritha Resorts is already functioning.

So far, 53 people have been placed under observation at Corona Virus Center at the Haritha Resorts. Speaking during an emergency press conference held at the collector's office on Wednesday, District Collector Pausumi Basu said, "They will be kept under observation for 14 days and then those who have the symptoms will be shifted to Gandhi Hospital." Those who are healthy will be sent to their homes, she added. People need not panic about the Corona Virus Center at Anantagiri, the Collector assured.

"People must observe cleanliness apart from taking care of nose, throat and hands. The government has prepared all the emergency medical services, she said. Another four persons from Vikarabad district who have come from other countries have been placed in their home observation.
