The district administration is scouting for suitable venue for conducting homam for the success of Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP), which is all set to be inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on June 21.

Bhupalpally: The district administration is scouting for suitable venue for conducting homam for the success of Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP), which is all set to be inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on June 21. The homam will be held at Medigadda before the inaugural programme, it's learnt. It may be mentioned here that KCR has during his visit to Kaleswaram in May this year had said that a homam would be performed for the prosperity of the farmers in the State.

The homam will take about three hours, followed by the puja and inauguration of the barrage gates at Medigadda. The barrage has 85 gates.

The foundation stone of the project was laid on May 2, 2016, Friday, which is considered as the auspicious for Lord Shiva. Similarly, the inauguration of the project is also scheduled on a Friday.

ESC Muralidhar Rao, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu, Superintendent of Police R Bhaaskaran and officials from CMO have inspected the helipad, Medigadda viewpoint, and arrangements for the stay of other officials.
