Nizamabad: District Collector Ram Mohan Rao has directed officials to grant permits to those who have applied for self-employment under TSI Pass.

He convened a TSI Pass Committee meeting in his chamber on Tuesday. The committee approved a 35% subsidy grant for 49 Scheduled cast and 46 Scheduled Tribes applicants. If the applicants are women, the additional subsidy of 10 per cent will be available, the Collector added.

Approximately 622 applications were received for the officers of all 17 branches and 701 applications were rejected for various reasons. The Collector said that on the first and third Mondays of each month, the TSS Ipas Committee should take action once a fortnight for 15 days to review the application and grant necessary permits and immediately inform the applicants for any objections. He directed the concerned authorities to review the applications and grant permits for the district to get a good ranking for the state's TS Ipas. He suggested that the project cost be checked to see if the applications were coming in time. District Industry Center General Manager Baburao, DTC Sivalingaiah Transco SE Sudarshan, DPivo Krishnamoorthy, Assistant Mines Satyanarayana, District SC Development Officer Sasikala, District Tribal Welfare Officer Sandhrani, LDM Jaya Santoshi and other officials were present.
