Nagarkurnool: Two minor girls who have gone missing from a tribal hamlet of Chenchu Penta in Ambrabad mandal since past 6 days, the officials from Forest, Police, ITDA and MGNREGA could finally trace-out one girl, while the other one is still missing on Friday.

Earlier last week, two minor girls-- Shravani and Renuka,-- both around 6 years old, daughters of Gangaiah and Gurvamma said to have gone out playing into the forest from Chenchupenta, which is located inside the Nallamalla Forest region in Amrabad mandal of Nagarkurnool district.

On the first day, as the girls did not come home even by late evening, the residents of Chenchupenta themselves launched a man hunt and searched inside the forest but could not trace them out.

Next day, when the Forest and Police department officials came to know about the issue, they both joined their forces together and launched a coordinated search. But they could not find the girls.

However with the ITDA and MGNREA authorities who also later joined the search orperation could trace one girl Renuka in an unconscious state inside a bush and she was immediately rushed to the Achampet Area Hospital.

Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Project Officer Venkataiah said that they have used all their resources to trace out the little girl and are ensuring that she gets the best treatment until she is completely recovered.

The project officer said they will also soon trace out the second girl. "We could trace out Renuka and she is undergoing treatment.

We have got some inputs from her and accordingly doing that we can do to trace out the second girl," expressed hope Venkataiah.

However, the Chenchupenta dwellers are worried that it is more than 6 days that their child has gone missing and they are worried that in what condition she may be as she has had no food and water.

It is believed that the deep Nallamalla forest areas are infested with pythons and wild wolfs and dogs and the chances of survival of the little child are very less. This thought itself is worrying them and the parents are weeping inconsolably.
