Ananthagiri (Suryapet): One person was killed while three others suffered injuries when a bus hit a DCM that was parked roadside at Durgapuram bypass road on Kodad outskirts on Wednesday late night. The deceased was identified as Durgamma (35) of Vijayanagaram of Andhra Pradesh.

According to Ananthagiri SI Ramanjaneyulu, a private travel bus heading towards Vijayanagaram when reached Durgapuram hit a DCM stopped on roadside. The driver of the bus was reportedly trying to save cattle on the road when the incident took place.

In this incident, the front portions of two vehicles were damaged completely. In this mishap, Durgamma suffered grievous injuries and died on the way to the hospital, while Ganesh and another two passengers also suffered injuries. There were 36 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.

The dead body of Durgamma was shifted to Kodad Government hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, the driver of the DCM Srisailam also received severe injuries in the accident and was shifted to a hospital in Khammam for treatment.

Based on the compliant of deceased Durgamma's husband Satyanarayana, SI Ramanjaneylu registered a case and took up the investigation.
