Open nala choked with garbage in Vanasthalipuram

Vanasthalipuram: Near Panama Godowns there is an open sewage nala for the past few years.

Instead of seeing to it that the open nala is closed by the authorities, the locals from the nearby localities are acting irresponsibly, they are disposing of garbage in plastic bags into the nala.

This plastic garbage thrown into the canal is blocking the flow of drainage water resulting in overflow of drainage water onto the road.

This open sewage has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and flies due to which the residents are prone to vector borne diseases.
