Pamphlets criticising CPI Maoists released in Kothagudem
Pamphlets against CPI (Maoists) leadership have appeared in Thippapuram, Rallapuram, Burugupadu, Lenin Colony, Kudunur, Devarapalli and many other villages in Cherla mandal in the district on Wednesday.
Kothagudem: Pamphlets against CPI (Maoists) leadership have appeared in Thippapuram, Rallapuram, Burugupadu, Lenin Colony, Kudunur, Devarapalli and many other villages in Cherla mandal in the district on Wednesday.
The associations that released the pamphlets accused the Maoists of killing three persons in Cherla mandal this year by suspecting them as police informers. They demanded the party to tender an apology to public for killing the innocent persons.
It may be recalled that Maoist militia commander Sodi Jogaiah was behind the killing of ex-MPTC Nalluri Srinivas Rao of Cherla recently. Jogaiah, who got help from Srinivas Rao, had killed him fearing Rao would expose his misdeeds to the public.
It is alleged that Jogaiah's family members had cleared 60 acres of forest land for podu cultivation at his native village and with the help of Rao they even got a pond constructed at the land.
The associations said that Maoist leadership needed to check the illegal acts of their cadres. They also alleged that Jogaiah and his men were torturing villagers when they questioned them. The public would not tolerate the atrocities of Maoists, they warned.
