Party cadre real strength of TRS: KTR

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Wednesday stated that party workers were real strength of TRS. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will take care of the workers who work hard for the party.

The TRS working president handed over insurance cheques to the families of deceased party leaders at Telangana Bhavan. Families of 77 workers/leaders were given cheques of Rs 2 lakh each.

Rama Rao had lunch with the family members and spoke to them individually and enquired about their problems. The party has so far given insurance cheques worth Rs 31.62 crore to the families of 1,581 workers. This year the party had paid a premium of Rs 11.21 crore to the insurance company.

Addressing the families, he said the party cadre was the real strength behind the party. Because of their hard work, the TRS party has been standing victorious in the elections. "The CM cares for the party members and their families so to provide financial security to the families of the workers, CM had come up with an idea to provide insurance to all the party members," he said.

He stated that the TRS party has strength of over 60 lakh members. He said MLAs, MPs and public representatives would hand over the cheques to the remaining beneficiaries in their respective constituencies.

"The cheque distribution should not be routine, the leaders should hand over cheques and also inquire about their problems, which would give confidence to the families," Rama Rao said.
