Pattana Pragathi will be launched soon: KTR

With the inspiration derived from the success of first phase of Palle Pragathi programme, the State government is going to start Pattana Pragathi programme soon, informed IT Minister and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao.
Karimnagar: With the inspiration derived from the success of first phase of Palle Pragathi programme, the State government is going to start Pattana Pragathi programme soon, informed IT Minister and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao.
He attended as a chief guest at Panchayat Raj Sammelanam organised here at Padmanayaka Function Hall in Sircilla on Thursday. Before starting to address the meeting, KTR asked the husbands of the councillors, who were present at the meeting, to leave the hall.
Addressing the participants, IT Minister KT Rama Rao alleged that the previous government did not take care of villages of Telangana region from the past 70 years. It is the TRS government, which thought about the betterment of villages and introduced Palle Pragathi programme. The first phase of the programme proved to be successful with constant efforts put in by the sarpanches and MPTCs along with the officials concerned, he stated.
After the formation of separate Telangana State, 10 districts were divided into 33 districts, following which new mandals and panchayats were formed along with the municipalities. Village panchayats increased from 8,700 to 12,000 across the State, he informed.
Minister KT Rama Rao said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will always remain in the history for bringing several reforms for giving good governance to the people. "Once there was a strong belief that whoever visits Vemulawada Rajanna temple will lose their Chief Minister post. But KCR has removed this taboo by visiting the temple on number of occasions," he said.
Nobody thought that Mid Manair reservoir will have water to its full capacity, but the TRS government made it a reality. 'Positions are not permanent, and politics should not be played at all time.' Everyone must participate in the developmental activities to lead the district towards development, KTR appealed.
