Wanaparthy: The district administration is taking all measurers to make sure that SSC pending exams will be completed in a peaceful and safe manner by adhering to all Covid-19 norms laid down by the State and Central governments.

As part of this, District Collector Sheik Yasmin Basha conducted a meeting with the officials of education and health departments to make sure that everything is put in place before commencement of the exams beginning from June.

As per the new Covid-19 norms, the district administration has decided to allow only 12 students to each classroom to write the exams and the students must follow social distancing strictly and must wear masks and gloves while writing the exams.

As against 35 centres earlier allocated for SSC examinations, the district administration has now increased examination centres to 70 and recruited additional examination supervision staff and officials accordingly to administer the public examination.

The Collector informed that so far 813 invigilators were appointed for SSC exams.

At each examination centre, square box marks were drawn where the students must sit to follow social distancing. Before the commencement of exams, each and every examination centre will be thoroughly sanitised by the municipal authorities.

Each student will undergo thermal screening before entering the exam centre and District Medical and Health officials concerned will take the responsibility of screening.

At the same time, the power department was instructed to provide uninterrupted power supply from 9 am to 1 pm at the exam centres, she added.
