Pennar team has emerged winner and Asian Paints the runner-up in the industries cricket tournament organised by the Sandvik Employees’ Union to mark its 35th anniversary.
Patancheru: Pennar team has emerged winner and Asian Paints the runner-up in the industries cricket tournament organised by the Sandvik Employees' Union to mark its 35th anniversary. The tourney matches were played at Cherry Cricket Sports Ground from 8 am on Sunday. The participating teams included Toshiba, Pennar, Sandvik, Asian Paints, Synergy Industries.
Addressing the gathering, union's joint secretary B Pradeep Kumar said various social service programmes were organised throughout the year to mark the anniversary. Already a blood donation camp, tree plantation, a marathon walk, volley Ball competitions have been conducted. He said there was a good response to the cricket tournament. Among the union leaders present on the occasion were M Sathi Babu, the committee members, the sports committee members and workers.
