People told to set up pits to tap rainwater

Parigi: District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam said every household should have water harvesting pit and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene was everybody's responsibility.

She visited Botla Naik Thanda in Kulkacharla mandal on Wednesday. She appreciated sarpanch Ganga Santhosh, secretary Vijaykumar after inspecting the works done under 30-day action plan.

She interacted with the people and enquired about various issues. The Collector told them to utilise lavatories and directed the officials to find if anyone does not use the toilet. She suggested people to remove garbage on the roads and maintain cleanliness. Later she visited Girls High School at Kulkacharla for inspection.
