Karimnagar: People voted for development in the municipal elections that were held for 60 divisions in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC), said BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar.

Seven independent candidates - K Bhuma Goud, K Anjaiah, S Madhavi, A Rajashekar, A Narmada Narsaiah, Ilendar Yadav and L Swapna Venugopal - who won in the municipal elections of KMC, had joined the TRS in the presence of IT Minister and TRS Working President KT Rama Rao at Telangana Bhawan in Hyderabad on Tuesday. BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar was present on the occasion.

Minister Kamalakar said whatever the election may be, results will be same that the pink party winning with full majority. This has proved once again with the municipal elections. People are satisfied with the working of the TRS government and voted for the development that took place under its rule, he stated.

The TRS shaped villages beautifully and now the focus is on towns and cities and the party is committed for the all-round development of towns and cities, he added. Having confidence and faith on the TRS, the people had given 95 per cent of seats to it and proved that they are with the ruling party and rejected both BJP and Congress, who are trying to divert the attention of the people with false statements and trying to stop the developmental activities, he alleged.

Kamalakar said that the responsibility of the ruling party was increased with the mandate given by the people and we will fulfill it perfectly.
