Perapallamidi villagers, children block roads demanding additional bus services

Narayanpet: With the RTC stopping additional bus services to the Perapallamidi Thanda, the students and villagers blocked the roads and protested against the RTC officials on Thursday and demanded restoration of additional bus services to their village and facilitate easy transportation.

"Despite repeated requests with the RTC officials, they have failed to restore additional bus services to our village. The bus that comes in the morning is full students who go to school. With no additional bus services, we are facing many problems. As no one is heeding our requests, we have decided to block the road and stop the movement of vehicles until the RTC promises to restore the additional bus services to our village," said school students and villagers, while taking part in the protest.

At present, only one bus service is allotted to Perapallamidi Thanda from Narayanpet and that too it comes only in the morning and in the evening. However, with more than 200 to 300 students and general public travel to the district headquarters every day, the one bus service is not adequate. In view of the above, the villagers are demanding more services, and threatening to intensify their agitation if RTC remained stubborn.
