Hyderabad: MBT spokesperson Amjedullah Khan on Wednesday requested Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs to direct Indian Embassy in Italy and Indian Consulate in Milan and Air India to ensure the safe return of Indian students stranded in Italy. In his tweet, Amjedullah pointed out that more than 50 M Pharmacy students who were returning by AI-138, from Milan Airport, Italy, contacted him to help them in returning to India.

He said that the Air India authorities were asking students to produce a medical certificate proving they did not contract Novel Coronavirus. "Students are asking from where they should get certificate as all doctors & hospitals are busy treating suspected Coronavirus patients," he wondered.

He requested External Affairs Minister to ask Indian Embassy in Italy and Indian Consulate in Milan and Air India officials to help the stranded students who wish to return back to India.
