Rain in the offing in next 48 hours
Hyderabad: Since the last two days, good amount of pre-Monsoon rain and thundershower activities have been witnessed by the city of Hyderabad in Telangana. However, these weather activities were not able to bring any relief from the ongoing heatwave like conditions as maximum temperatures continues to be between 38°C and 39°C. These weather conditions have occurred in the presence of an upper air trough/wind discontinuity which was extending from Vidarbha to Tamil Nadu across northern parts of Telangana. At present, an anti-cyclonic circulation is persisting over central parts of Bay of Bengal. This system is providing warm and moist winds, while the trough/ wind discontinuity is also passing in the close vicinity of the region. Hence, due to the presence of these weather systems, till afternoon temperatures will rise. Thereafter, towards the later parts of the day, spell of patchy light rain and thundershowers will occur over the city during the next 48 hours. However, after 48 hours, as the above-mentioned trough will strengthen, rain intensity and spread will also increase in Hyderabad. The day temperatures of Hyderabad will remain in the range of 36°C to 38°C. While night temperatures will be settling somewhere between 22°C and 24°C. Moreover, due to availability of local smoke particles, pollution levels will also remain moderate to poor. (Courtesy: https://www.skymetweather.com)
