Nizamabad: The district got a much-needed respite from the scorching heat as it rained on Wednesday. The highest rainfall was recorded at Navipet 70.3 mm. According to the Met department, normal rain around 103mm is likely to occur on Thursday. Similarly, Yedapalle recorded 50.3 mm, Janakampet 41.8 mm, Balakonda 40.8, Vailpur 34.5 mm, Bodhan Bellal 29.3, Bheemgal 23, Chandur 19.3mm, Kamarpalli and Nizamabad south 10 m.m.

Telangana State Development Planning Society Officer B Venumadhav said our automatic weather stations have recorded heavy to light rain on Wednesday in 20 areas of the Telangana State. Similarly, rainfall in Lingampet 11.05 mm, Gandhari Mandal Sarwarpur 9 mm in Kamareddy district was recorded.
