Medak: Heat-wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in Medak district for the third day on Friday, along with Khammam, during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, the Met department bulletin said.

There was a fall in day temperatures across the State with conditions becoming favorable for further advance of the Southwest Monsoon in to some more parts of central, north and south Bay in two¬three days.The highest maximum temperature recorded in the State was 42.4 degrees Celsius in Khammam. While Medak recorded 41.6 deg C, Hakimpet and Dundigal had 35.

According to the bulletin, rain occurred at isolated places in Sangareddy district, with Raikode recording 2 cm. The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places across Telangana from June 15 to 18. No large change during the period June 19-21 is the weather outlook.

The bulletin warned of heat-wave conditions likely to prevail at isolated pockets in 15 State districts on Saturday. On June 16 thunderstorms with gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) and lightning are likely at isolated places across Telangana. The bulletin said on the same day heat-wave conditions are likely at isolated pockets in the above 15 districts.
