Ramagundam: The girl students should make education as their weapon and must reach greater heights in their lives, suggested Ramagundam Municipal Commissioner B Srinivas. He was the chief guest at the Girl Empowerment Programme organised by the management of National Thermal Power Corporation of India (NTPC) in Ramagundam on Tuesday.

It is to be notified here that the NTPC management organises Girl Empowerment programme every year by selecting students of government schools and will give training in various professional skills. This year also, the NTPC management had selected as many as 100 girl students studying in various government schools and organising Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) Winter Workshop-2020 from January 11 to 26 in Ramagundam.

Interacting with the girls at the ongoing GEM winter workshop, Municipal Commissioner B Srinivas suggested them to focus on studies by setting a perfect goal in their life. He said education is a good weapon for them to overcome obstacles in their lives and to reach greater heights. They were also urged to utilise such kind of opportunities whenever they come across to achieve their goals.

Mandal Education Officer Daniel and the CSR officials of NTPC were present along with others.
