SC, ST and BC residential schools which are closed due to the COVID induced lockdown were opened on Thursday ahead of SSC exams in Telangana. After the government announced the dates for SSC exams 2020, the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) have decided to re-open the residential schools for the students.

Students who had gone to their native places due to the closure of the schools can now return and prepare for the upcoming SSC Exams. TMREIS president AK Khan on Tuesday review the measures being taken up at the schools in the view of coronavirus. He directed the teaching and non-teaching staff to create awareness among the students on physical distancing and other coronavirus preventive measures.

Parents who want their children to go to the exam centres directly from home have to take prior permission from the hostel welfare officer.

Five students per room, wearing of face masks, personal hygiene, physical distancing, providing food that improve immunity, dividing the students into groups and provide food to them in special rooms, the arrangement of private vehicles to take the students to exam centres are the norms issued by the government.
