The BJP staged protests in Karimnagar in support to the RTC strike has turned into a furious one. BJP activists organized a massive rally from Telangana Chowk to Bus station along with MP Bandi Sanjay. The police blocked the rally near Karimnagar bus stand, which led to a clash between police and BJP activists.
MP Bandi Sanjay was taken into custody by the police. Police escorted him in a special vehicle, which he had been carrying among the activists. Activists shouted slogans against the government during the move. A total of 150 activists, including the MP, were arrested by the police.
