Saroornagar ACTO in ACB net

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught Assistant Commercial Tax Officer of Saroornagar Ch Shiva Kumar red handed while accepting bribe.

He allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh from complainant M Raji Reddy, a businessman belonging to Shamshabad for audit report. The complainant bargained with him and the issue was settled for Rs 50,000.

Later, the complainant approached the ACB officials. On receipt of complaint the officials laid a trap and caught the official while accepting bribe amount of Rs 50,000 at Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Tax Office in Nampally.

The ACB officials said that they were conducting search operations at his house, situated in Kompally Bank Colony.
