Its officials start cracking whip on businesses not following norms
Secunderabad: Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) commenced a 10-day awareness programme on preventive measures to be taken to fight against Coronavirus on Tuesday.
SCB coordinating officer Parshuram said it was high time people were on alert as they get into regular activities of day-to-day life, after the stringent lockdown has come to halt. "There are around 1,000 sanitary workers who clean roads and clear garbage. We are sensitising them on the importance of personal hygiene. We are going shop-to-shop asking shopkeepers to ensure that social distancing is maintained by the customers," he added.
SCB sanitation and health wing officials inspected several shops, hotels and penalty and slapped Rs 19,000 fines for not ensuring Covid guidelines. Ratnadeep supermarket has been sealed.
Awareness drive for sanitary staff
Secunderabad: The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) is conducting a 10-day awareness programme for SCB Sanitary workers and shopkeeper on coronavirus. "There are around 1000 sanitary workers, who are involved in keeping roads clean and clearing garbage. We are trying to educate them by how to take protective measure in this current situation, as personal hygiene more important nowadays," said Parshuram, a coordinating officer of SCB. As part of the campaign, the staff is also educating shopkeepers. Till date, 50 shops have been covered.
