Siddipet: Let's join hands to serve the needy to display our humanity, State Finance Minister Harish Rao called on the people. He urged the public to promote the Innovative Public Performance Platform, 'Humanitarian Room' and Feed the Need (Food for the Hungry) Center, which provides relief to the vulnerable. "We have arranged the Food Storage Fridge at the old bus stand and area hospital to keep the food leftover during functions. This food is to serve the poor and the orphans rather than going waste." He said.

The idea of the minister is put into practice by the people of Siddipet. Members of the Public Servants Welfare Association (PSWA) have put a large quantity of clothes and other household items in a humanitarian room on Sunday morning in accordance with the wishes of the minister. The PSWA members said, "Now we have two night shelters for the poor who live on the roadside, humanitarian room at farmer's bazaar, Feed the Need Center at bus stand Circle. To popularise the rooms of humanity we keep cloths and goods in them."

They visit the centers at least once a month. They put homemade food in the fridges at Food for the Need center for the underprivileged.

The function was presided over by Bhavan President Kadavargu Srinivas, S Yadagiri, S Yadi Reddy, AV Balesham, M Rangarao, K Pochiah, P Chakrapani, Dhubbayya, N Manohar, P Bupal, M Ravinder Reddy and M Ravinder. Srinivas, U Rajesham, K Srinivas and K Chakradhar were among those present.
