Sircilla: Officials told to purchase standard food grains

Sircilla: Joint Collector Yasmin Basha on Thursday ordered the officials concerned to purchase quality food grains from farmers, which fulfil the standard requirement that are prescribed.

The JC held a mandal-wise meeting with the officials of agricultural department under the leadership of District Civil Supplies Department to discuss on the implementation of Kharif Action Plan 2019-20 and the necessary steps to be taken while purchasing food grains from farmers of Rajanna Sircilla district.

Speaking at the meeting, JC Yasmin Basha suggested the officials to visit the purchasing centres mandal-wise after starting purchasing the food grains in this Kharif season.

She ordered the District Marketing Officer Shabuddin to supply sufficient quantities of tarpaulins, gunny bags, moisture testing machines and weighing machines to all purchasing centres that are going to be established across the district before purchasing of food grains begins.

The JC suggested District Agriculture Officer Ranadheer Kumar to deploy officials dividing the purchasing centres into clusters and asked them to suggest the quality food grains from the farmers after checking the standards.

District Civil Supplies Officer Jithendar Reddy, Civil Supplies Organisation manager Shaik Irfan, Deputy Tahsildars Praveen Kumar, Vahihuddin and Technical officers Sandeep Kumar and Md Gaforuddin were present along with other officials.
