Spread greenery for sake of future gen

Vikarabad: MLA Dr M Anand has urged people to plant saplings for the benefit of future generations. He was planting saplings at both sides of Vikarabad-Manneguda road at Kothapalli on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said funds allocated to Haritha Haram were being wasted due to negligence of officials and stressed that every planted sapling should survive.

District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam directed the officials to plant the saplings away from the road so that they would not come in the way of road extension in future. Municipal Commissioner Bhogeshwarlu, DEE Venakateshwarlu, leaders Ananth Reddy, Vijaykumar, Ramreddy, and the president of sarpanches association Kamal Reddy were also present.
