Patancheru: Head of SR Trust Anji Reddy on Monday handed over a cheque for Rs.1 lakh to CI Goli Janayya of Panagal (Nalgonda district) who works in Siddipet, for better treatment of fourth stage of lung cancer. Local CI Naresh was present. Reddy appealed to philanthropists to assist poor people who could not afford costly treatment.
Janayya said many cancer patients were dying because of lack of money for treatment. He praised Reddy for coming to the rescue of such patients so as to create confidence in them. This showed his social service motto, the CI stated. He said any social worker wishing to help could contact telephone no 90000-09498.
