State Level Football Tournament inaugurated in Wanaparthy

Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy inaugurated the State level football tournament at Pebbair mandal in Wanaparthy district on Friday. After formation of new district, Wanaparthy is hosting the State level sports tournament for the first time.

While speaking on the occasion, the Minster said, "we are glad to host State level football tournament in Wanaparthy. I wish the visiting teams will work hard to emerge winners.

Winning any game with expert players is not a big deal; however, those who are facing tough challenges and those who can overcome those challenges and emerge winners are the real heroes. I wish the sports persons to work hard as real heroes and face challenges and you will taste the sweetness of success."

The Minister while encouraging sports personalities said that be it sports, athletics, job, business, politics or any other sector, there is no substitute for hard work. Success will be achieved by only those who put their cent percent efforts in their chosen careers.

The Minister cited the example of Dego Maredona and said that the world-famous lead football player is a great inspiration to millions of people not just in sports but also in real life.

He said the footballer had a poor family background and did not even had food to eat, however with this commitment and dedication he reached the pinnacle. Today, there is no footballer in the world who can even come closer to the great sports personality, the Minister said.
