Strong gales uproot trees; traffic disrupted

Yalal: Strong gales rocked the area in the mandal on Thursday. Trees along the road were uprooted. Some trees fell on the road disrupting the traffic.

A big tree fell at Chennaram gate in the Kodangal route, causing traffic snarls. The Yalal police rushed to the spot and removed the trees with help of the local youth and people. It took half an hour to clear the route for commuting again. People thanked the youth, who took initiative to clear the trees that were uprooted.
