Karimnagar: All arrangements were made for conducting NEET exam in Karimnagar on Sunday, where about 4,277 students will appear for the exam, said Dr Lalitha Kumari, Principal of Vivekananda Residential School, Karimnagar.

She was appointed as the city co-ordinator for Karimnagar district for conducting National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for admission into MBBS & BDS courses.

Speaking with The Hans India, Dr Lalitha Kumar said that all the students were advised to reach their examination centres well in advance to avoid last minute hurry.

In Karimnagar, 4,277 students will be writing the exam in five centres – 1,020 students at Vivekananda Degree & PG College; 720 students at Vivekananda Residential School; 1,020 students at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science, LMD Colony; 1,020 students at Sri Chaitanya College of Engineering; and 557 students will write NEET exam at Sri Chaitanya Institute of Technological Science.

The Principal said that National Testing Agency (NTA), which is conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG 2019 this year, released a few guidelines for the students.

They are - candidates should come to the exam in cultural/customary dress; light clothes with half sleeves, long sleeves are not allowed; for women candidates, slippers, sandals with low heels are permitted; shoes are not permitted for male candidates and they should wear slippers or sandals; candidates should not to carry any instruments, stationary, electronic gadgets, eatables, water or exam pad into the examination hall.

She strictly said the women candidates not to wear accessories like ear rings, chains/lockets, hand bags, bracelets or any other ornaments while coming to the exam. Pens will be provided at the examination centre to write the exam.

Dr Lalitha Kumar said examination timings are from 2 pm to 5 pm on Sunday and students should report by 12 pm at their respective examination centres. Students will be allowed into the exam hall by 1.30 pm and after that no student will be allowed.

Students are strictly instructed to ensure their presence before the scheduled time i.e., 1.30 pm. Students should affix their photograph on their admit card and carry one photograph with them along with original ID proof (Aadhar card, driving licence, Pan Card or Voter ID).

Nearly 15, 20,000 students have registered for NEET exam all over the country this year for admission into under-graduate medical courses. NEET Exam is being conducted in 2,820 centres in 154 cities across the country.
