Addressing the officials, the Sub-Collector ordered them to take all measures for the immersion programme at Godavari river. He said thousands of idols from various districts in the State and neighbouring States Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha come here for immersion on third day after the festival. "Every officer should coordinate with other departments to take all necessary measures for the programme," he added.
He directed the irrigation department officers to immediately arrange four cranes, four big boats and 40 swimmers at Godavari for the programme. He directed the temple officers to arrange generator and other facilities to the devotees.
Sub Collector Mishra ordered the Gram Panchayat officer to ensure the town in clean during the days. He also said arrange drinking water facilities at the Godavari River bond area.
He directed the excise department officers to close the shops on the immersion day here in the temple town. He asked the Health officials to arrange health camps for devotees.
Bhadrachalam Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chandra stated that every organiser of Ganesh pandals should take the permission online. He said special security measures are being arranged for the immersion programmes at the Godavari river area. Departments of Fire, Health, Power, Irrigation, Panchayat and temple attended the programme.
