The deceased were identified as Mathangi Narsaiah (45) of Yelkapally of Nutankal mandal of Suryapet district and Renuka (33) of Vemulapally of Dantalapally mandal of Mahabubabad district.

According to Suryapet rural SI Srinivas, about 15 labourers heading towards Hyderabad boarded a Tata Ace goods carrying vehicle near Hi-Tech bus stand in Suryapet. When the vehicle reached the outskirts of Rayanigudem village, the vehicle overturned and fell into a roadside pit due to rash driving by the driver.

In this incident, both Renuka and Narsaiah died on the spot as they suffered severe injuries, whereas six others suffered injuries. Two of the injured were shifted to Hyderabad as their condition was deteriorated and rest of the four injured were shifted to area hospital in Suryapet for treatment.

The two dead bodies were shifted to the area hospital in Suryapet for post-mortem. Based on the complaint of injured labourers, the Suryapet police registered a case and took up the investigation.
