Telangana: 5.4 kg of gold seized from a car in Jangaon

The police seized 5.4 kg of gold from a car. The estimated value of the gold is Rs. 3.09 crores in Jangaon.

Ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections, there was Election code being implemented. The police have intensified their inspections and set up checkposts across the state. They are conducting thorough checks on vehicles and seizing any cash, gold, silver ornaments, or other valuables that are found without proper documentation.

During a recent inspection at the Kommala toll plaza in Jangaon district near Raghunathapalli mandal, the police seized 5.4 kg of gold from a car. The estimated value of the gold is Rs. 3.09 crores.

The police confiscated the gold as the individuals in possession of it failed to provide the necessary documents.

The Central Election Commission has released the schedule for the assembly elections to be held on November 30. The notification will be released on November 1st followed by filing of nominations on the same day. The political parties have started their campaign and announcing the candidates. While BRS handed over the B-Forms to candidates, the BJP and Congress are yet to complete the announcement of candidates.
