Jagtial district in Telangana is seemed to have shown first sign of coronavirus second wave with 75 people from a degree college in the town tested positive for the coronavirus. Of the number, 67 were the students of college, seven lecturers and a cook.
It is learned that around 295 students of Telangana social welfare residential degree college have undergone the tests when they showed the symptoms of the virus. However, the results of 67 students came positive. All the students who were tested positive were shifted to quarantine centre in the college and those tested negative were sent home.
Meanwhile, the parents of infected students irked over the management and alleged that the college violated covid-19 precautionary measures which led to the incident.
In the recent past, around 30 people who attended a marriage had tested positive in Jagtial and the surge in the cases within a short span time left people across the district in panic. The officials have also alerted the people to follow all the preventive measures in view of corona second wave.
