As many as eight people suffered injuries after a TSRTC bus suffered brake failure and rammed the bus into a tree at Brahmanapalli outskirts of Pitlam mandal of Kamareddy district in the wee hours on Wednesday.

The incident occurred when the bus ferrying 48 passengers was heading to Banswada from Pitlam. Upon knowing the mishap, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a local hospital for treatment. The police registered a case and are investigating.

On Monday, four people were killed after the car they travelling in rammed into a tree near Jangampalli village of Bhiknoor mandal at Kamareddy. The victims identified as Lavanya, Roshni, Prashanth and Sushil were returning to Kamareddy from Hyderabad.

In another case, two people died on the spot after a private travel bus rammed into a lorry here on National Highway 44 under Nandigama police limits of Shadnagar.
