Besides, the monthly average revenue has also grown by 28 per cent in Hyderabad. According to the central GST officials, Telangana has 3 per cent of the country's taxpayers.

Of the total target of Rs 14,920 crore, the state itself can make Rs 18,565 crore through the tax. For the year 2018-19, the Hyderabad has performed well by collecting Rs 175 crore along with the pending taxes.

Tax evasion of Rs 458 crore was detected by the GST Hyderabad officials, out of which Rs 272 crore was recovered excluding the fake invoices. The officials detected Rs 277 crore amount through fake invoices made by 36 companies till May 31, 2019 of which Rs 34 crore was recovered.

The officials arrested 15 persons for evading GST.
