Telangana: Exit polls on Huzurabad by-election banned

Karimnagar district collector and election officer RV Karnan said not to conduct exit polls survey on the Hyderabad by-election. In a release, RV Karnan said that exit polls have been banned until 7.30 pm on October 30.

Even as the print and electronic media along with various social media platforms have also been directed on exit polls ban. He said that it is the decision of Central Election Commission (CEC) to impose a ban on the exit polls.

He further warned of stern action against the media and those predicting the victory of parties on social media platforms.
