Telangana Forest Range Office Anitha who was attacked in Kagaznagar by the brother of a TRS MLA received KVS Babu IFS Memorial Gold Medal and a citation in recognition to her outstanding services in Forest Department.
Besides, the gold medal, a cash award of Rs 15,000 and a citation are also being presented to her at 73rd Independence Day celebrations at Telangana Forest Academy in Dhulapally.
The Forest Department presents the KVS Babu IFS Memorial Gold Medal every year to a forest official for performing their duties well.
FRO Anitha was attacked by the villagers while performing afforestation works following which the Koneru Krishna brother of Sirpur MLA Koneru Konappa was arrested for provoking people.
