Telangana: Govt. fires on lab with 2,672 Coronavirus positive cases

Hyderabad: The increase of Covid-19 affected patients in Telangana State is creating panic situation in the people and making them rush to private testing centres of Covid-19. As a part, Vijaya Diagnostic Centre in Hyderabad tested 3,726 samples in which 2,672 samples were tested positive. The positivity rate in this single lab is 71.7%.

Government officials found that the results are not accurate and issued orders to close the laboratory. Officials also took the decision to cross-check the samples again.

"These private labs are showing the tested results positive just to admit the people in the hospital and grab money. The government should take a serious note on the issue," says Bhavani M, a resident of Himayat Nagar.
