The Telangana government has made a key decision in the wake of increasing coronavirus cases in the state. In this backdrop, it has issued guidelines for government employees in view of the severity. It also indicated that only 50 percent of employees shall attend the duties. As per the decision, half of the government employees would attend duties for one week, followed by the other half in the next week. Employees are hereby entitled to follow these guidelines from Monday to July 4 respectively. However, the government ordered the employees not to leave the headquarters.

The government has ordered those with ill health could take holidays. Meanwhile, it advised employees not to use the Air Conditioner and the lifts be accommodated with only three people at a time. It also advised that the drivers of the officers should stay at their respective officers accommodation rather than at parking.

Coronavirus cases in Telangana are increasing day by day. As many as 499 cases were reported on Friday alone. Corona has suffered three IPS officers in the state so far and the GHMC staff is also suffering from a large-scale infection. Khairatabad Zonal Commissioner was also infected. In the GHMC alone, 190 policemen were affected by corona.
